On Tuesday, August 4, a huge explosion broke out in Lebanon’s capital Beirut.

The afternoon blast shook many parts of the capital with hundreds of wounded and widespread damages confirmed by Local Red Cross.

Local TV stations claimed the explosion occurred at the port of Beirut inside an area where firecrackers were kept, while an Associated Press photographer near the port of Beirut said he was witnessing wounded people on the ground and widespread devastation in central Beirut.
