The building located at No 57, Egerton square in Alakoro area, Lagos Island went down during the afternoon hours of Monday.

The cause of the building collapse which still had many residents trapped, is still yet to be ascertained as at the time of filing this report.

However, efforts are still ongoing to rescue those trapped in the building collapse.

This is happening in few days after over 20 persons lost their lives in abuilding collapse in a similar location on Wednesday, March 13.

At least 20 persons were said to have lost their lives while those injured were rushed to the hospital where they are currently receiving treatments.
